Right, being as there seems to be a bit of a buzz on the dog poo poster front, i thought i'd re-post this set of prints. If you would like some to put up locally, i'm happy to post you copies or email you the digital files for you to print out and/or share.
(I trim them so they have a space at the top and bottom when laminated, this allows you to punch holes for cable ties without any water being able to get in to the printed paper.)
You can have multiples of just one single design or the full range. My contact details are on my website, which has a link in the blog sidebar, or just click here at garrettworld
This is one exception where i won't mind my images being ripped off or used without my permission.
Let's try and clean up these pavements... Feel free to share!

The Phantom Poodler
I've done a second wave of these anti-dog-poo posters around the local streets. I'm surprised at how quickly they get pulled down sometimes. Bored kids, drunks walking home, dog walkers or just neighbours that don't like them junking up the street? who knows. I just keep sticking them back up until someone gets the message!
I have a new round of poster lined up too. I'll be unleashing this one when the last of the dogs have gone.
I've had some interest from fellow instagramers too, all happy to see my work in this area, a common problem. If anyone would like a set to put up around their neighbourhood please let me know and i'll print and send you some, no charge. My contact details are on my website. You could have them all the same single design, or have the full range. I laminate mine, then punch holes top and bottom to secure to lamp posts with cable ties. Any other ideas for how best to manufacture them for posting around the streets? Ideally i'd like to print them directly onto a stiffer plastic, that would make them more resilient to removal and weather.
I need to find a keen screen printer...
Clay Hand
It still needed the coin slot in the palm, which i added after slipping. |
I've been back with the clay recently, just a couple of pieces, but enough to challenge me. I've wanted to make a hand money box for a few years now, i think it was probably after seeing this Jeffry Mitchell piece below. My hand has had it's coat of white slip (which i am amazed it survived), i was sure a finger or two would drop off. I'm now going to sgraffito some lettering which will spiral around the arm like a tattoo, along with some word across the knuckles. The fingers are hollow tubes, which i just cut v-notches in to shape them and the hand is just a low cylinder which i paddled to it's rounded form. I'm using the paddle more these days, to get away from my limited slab cylinders. Once i finish these ones i'm going to focus back on throwing on the wheel. Got to get it right!

Hitting The Spot
I'm loving this new album, Primrose Green, by Ryley Walker!
If you like a bit of Tim Buckley/John Martyn/Bert Jansch, then you'll love this.
Just look at the cover, you know exactly what you're getting!!
Ryley played a gig just down the road from me on Saturday, but sadly i couldn't make it.
I bet it was awesome. Go check out the full album, or some of his live stuff.
Record of the year already? Possibly.
