Robot Rampage

Received my copy of the second book in the Nick & Tesla series recently. Robot Rampage was a fun book to work on. There's another book already completed and I'm just working on roughs for a fourth book. Great books from Quirk Books, really nicely designed by Doogie Horner. Going to have to make the gadgets and gizmos with my boys at some point, yikes!

This one's from the first book (so why's it here?)

  1. CONGRATULATIONS! This must be very exciting for you. I love the illustrations. Did you need to build and check Science Bob's contraptions prior to illustrating them? I bet that guy is a hoot. These are great books for boys, ad boys just do not have enough very good books on the store and library shelves.

I love the Nick and Tesla series. I think Quirk does an excellent job making the books they do. I have yet to get a bad book, construction wise. I recently reviewed the first Nick and Tesla: High Voltage Danger Lab at Kid Lit Reviews (http://wp.me/p1sRJW-3qk)

This month will be the review of book 2: Robot Army Rampage. I am hoping to have a ten-year-old boy as a guest reviewer for this book. Then, hopefully in March I will review the third book, which I was told is coming off the presses.

I hope this series has a large run. These are great books.

    1. Thanks Sue. I love working on these books, there's so much fun action that it's hard to make a boring picture!
I haven't made any of the contraptions yet. They provided me with lots of good photographs. Hope you like Robot Rampage and thanks for dropping by.
