Sgraffito Potts??

Yep, I'm at it again! It might take a while for my drawing on clay to get up to speed, so I'll have to settle with this fakery. I do enjoy doing them though, imagining that i'm scratching back the clay.

  1. These are going to look really good if you can get them on to pots!

  4. Scott, it's possible, if anyone has gone down the most difficult path in pottery it's me, so if I have a wheel and a new studio, you can do it too!
I just learned how to save money, bought a wheel with the classes I taught, bought a slab roller from a Raku workshop I led and paid for my studio with money from fall 2010 sales. Hang in there, it took me 8 years to do all of this!

  5. I think I'd cheat and buy blank pots.

  6. Scott, these are excellent designs. Get a blank pot first (Douglas Fitch for example) and get the designs on there!

  7. I like your thinking Paul, but i think Doug's got enough ideas for his pots! Matt wanted to get me to work on one, but the logistics of moving unfired pots around the country isn't good. I reckon i can handbuild/coil a decent one. It's not the thrown beauties i love, but it will work for me.
